Hosting a Site for free with Hugo and Cloudflare Together
I recently was messing with Hugo and static website generate. You can host these sites for free with Cloudflare and have many advantages for both web designers, web developers, and security folk!
Why Hugo
Hugo is a very exciting static website generator that has a blog and many themes online you can use. Here are all the options Hugo Deployment have documents for. This isn’t a tutorial on how to make a Hugo site but taking a theme and then going through the guide will prove very easy. You can make changes just by knowing Markdown, HTML, and CSS. Also due to it’s lightweight performance heavy power, you will rank higher in SEO since your pages load a lot faster.
Deploying to Cloudflare
I’m going to be using https://themes.gohugo.io/themes/hugo-goa/ as an example
If you don’t have a Cloudflare account please make one! Once you are in go to Workers & Pages then click Create Application
Click on the repo in your GitHub and click setup.
